TPC Kicks Off 40th Anniversary Celebration

PLANO, TEXAS (January 3, 2025) – This year, TPC proudly celebrates its 40th anniversary, marking four decades of unwavering commitment to supporting community hospitals and improving healthcare outcomes. From humble beginnings at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Hilton, where our founding Members gathered for the first Board meeting on May 1, 1985, TPC has grown into a thriving coalition dedicated to empowering independent hospitals.

Forty years ago, a group of community hospitals came together with a shared purpose: to achieve more together than they could alone. Their vision was clear—to preserve independence while collaborating to enhance care for their communities. Today, that vision continues to drive TPC’s mission, adapting to meet the evolving needs of our Members in an ever-changing healthcare landscape.

Over the years, TPC has undergone transformations, with name changes and business focus shifts reflecting the dynamic nature of healthcare. From VHA Texas to TPC, our journey has been shaped by the leadership, team members, and partner organizations that have contributed to this incredible legacy.

Our success has always been rooted in collaboration. We exist solely to serve our Members, and as their business needs have changed over time, so has our approach—continuously innovating to deliver cost savings, operational efficiencies, and quality improvements.
