TPC Appoints Beth Graefe as Senior Vice President, Chief Performance Officer

PLANO, TEXAS (February 28, 2024) – TPC is proud to announce and welcome Beth Graefe as Senior Vice President, Chief Performance Officer.

Ms. Graefe has over 25 years of health care experience in health system and managed care operations. She spent 19 years with Vizient focused on leading health system clinical cost reduction, change management, quality improvement, and software development. She has extensive experience leading consulting teams to influence health system C-suite and physician change management. Her most recent role was as an executive of Vizient’s joint venture with the Cleveland Clinic, Excelerate. 

This will not be Ms. Graefe’s first opportunity to serve the Members of TPC as she was part of the then Aspen/MedAssets (now Vizient) leadership and delivery team that helped TPC identify and deliver record value in physician preference categories in the early 2010’s.

Beth is one of the most accomplished performance improvement executives I have worked with in almost forty years of healthcare management,” stated Roger Nolan, TPC President and Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. Graefe holds a Doctoral Degree in Education along with a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Health Care Administration. Today she serves as an adjunct professor for Texas Tech University’s School of Health Professions focusing on healthcare reimbursement, clinical decision-support, and innovation.

Ms. Graefe’s additional accolades include serving in the United States Air Force Reserves and Colorado Air National Guard as a Medical Service Corps Officer. She has also published research entitled Physician Descriptions of the Influence of Pay for Performance Programs on Their Decision-making for the Delivery of Health Care.
