TPC Welcomes Peterson Health to Membership

PLANO, Texas (February, 2024) – Peterson Health, the principle healthcare provider servicing patients in the nine counties surrounding Kerrville, Texas, has partnered with TPC, a membership network of eight health systems in Arkansas and Texas. TPC will serve as Peterson’s strategic partner to collaborate with fellow independent health systems to improve quality and performance, lower costs and enhance value within supply chain, revenue cycle, purchased services, operations and clinical delivery.

The TPC platform enables community-based hospitals, like Peterson, to improve their margin by reducing costs and increasing revenue. By way of strategic programs and initiatives focused on Member priorities, hospitals work together to optimize individual operational, financial and clinical performance. The TPC culture fortifies Members’ ability to thrive in today’s challenging healthcare market and to provide the highest quality care.

“Peterson Health is deeply rooted in the Kerrville community and has a legacy of providing exceptional care to our patients,” said Cory Edmondson, Peterson Health president and chief executive officer. “We recognize that the collective strength of TPC can enhance the great things our team is already doing. We are excited to collaborate with our TPC peers to share and learn from our collective experiences.”

“On behalf of all TPC Members, I am excited to welcome Peterson,” said Phyllis Cowling, TPC board chair, and president and chief executive officer of United Regional Health Care System in Wichita Falls, Texas. “Through TPC, we know that there is much more we can do together than we can each do on our own. We know Peterson will realize the same value that TPC has brought other Members, and we look forward to the contributions that Peterson will bring to our future collaborative strategies.”

“TPC is dedicated to supporting hospitals that desire to remain independent,” said Roger Nolan, TPC president and chief executive officer. “The ability to retain control as to how your health system serves your community is no longer a given in today’s healthcare environment. Our health systems are working effectively together – as they have for almost forty years – to retain that ability.”
