The 2019 TPC Value Analysis Team Summit, known as the Fall Classic, was a resounding success, bringing over 90 representatives from the 11 Member organizations together to collaborate, network and learn.
The event once again provided a beneficial opportunity to leverage TPC’s vision of working together as one and begin looking ahead to a strong upcoming year.
Overall, seven TPC committees gathered, including the Pharmacy, Laboratory, Perioperative, Cardiology/Diagnostic Imaging, and Medical/Wound Care Clinical Value Analysis Teams, as well as the Revenue Cycle Council and Support Services Council.
Reflecting on the event, Members were thrilled with the opportunity to engage in high-quality, face-to-face interaction with their peers, with one noting that the Fall Classic offered a tremendous networking opportunity and “the ability to share knowledge and be more efficient and effective with our resources.”
Others described the event as “extremely valuable” and a chance to “engage in focused discussion and be a part of the planning for the coming year.” Across the board, Members rated their satisfaction with the Fall Classic at a nearly perfect 4.87 out of 5.
“We’ve been a Member for many years,” said Wes Barnt, vice president of operations at Midland Memorial Hospital. “TPC continues, every year, to bring more value and a lot of networking opportunities with other organizations.”
Committee breakouts formed the heart of the Fall Classic, offering engaging working sessions that afforded time to dive deeply into TPC business to advance current initiatives and plan for future projects.
The chance for Members to gather together in person, for what is often the only time in a given year, was invaluable to their efforts to connect with peers, learn from one another and interact in a way they cannot typically do via conference call. These sessions were also elevated by guest speakers, case studies, vendor fairs, best-practice sharing and more.
As TPC and our Members begin looking toward 2020 and beyond, the Fall Classic continued to be an instrumental source of ideas, progress and community. Regardless of how long they have been a part of the TPC family, Members left the 2019 Fall Classic with a renewed passion and appreciation for the value of their membership and the support they have through TPC.
